TrafficFlow Server People/Door Counter Software
TrafficFlow™ Server is our desktop application for small to medium-sized firms. The basic reporting features of TrafficFlow™ Server include:
- User-friendly data query and editing tools.
- A centralized or store-level database to communicate with the local Counter Manager and collect all count data from the wireless counters.
- MS Access-based database tables hold the count data until it is forwarded (if desired) to a central server over TCP/IP, such as hourly or on a nightly upload.
- Automated scheduling of report printing, emailing, and exporting.
- Flexible exporting tools for uploading count data to subsequent POS software.
- Complete data adjustment and re-calculation tools for improving the count accuracy.
- Intuitive store-level table and chart production of traffic data from all counters. TrafficFlow™ client-level desktop application is intended to provide the store-level manager the ability to make informed decisions including optimal staffing load and advertising effectiveness.
- One Server Licence per Counter Manager

TrafficFlow™ will also perform the necessary text or database file exports that allow the raw count data to be seamlessly uploaded to a corporate data center despite varied or limited store-level technology.
Data Flow Overview
Counting Technologies offers the most streamlined collection and transfer of count data available in the industry. We typically recommend the following basic data flow process from each location.

- A wireless counter is mounted on each side each entrance being counted.
The counters transmit their current count to a 418 MHz receiver within the Counter Manager.
- The Counter Manager holds a static IP and connects to an Ethernet port in a local PC or LAN switch
The Counter Manager takes a reading of the door counts at regular intervals (i.e. every 15 min.)
- TrafficFlow™ software is installed onto a local PC and connected either directly to
the Counter Manager or through the LAN.
- At pre-set times (i.e. nightly), the TrafficFlow™ software contacts the Counter Manager and pulls the count data.
- TrafficFlow™ appends the data into an MS Access database and provides the reporting platform to generate, print, & email tables and charts of the count data. Exporting tools also permit simple integration with other data systems.
- If desired, ODBC drivers allow the automated data transfer to integrate the count data with management software tools such as a POS and payroll.
